Day Three - I See The Good In Others
Welcome to this devotional for kids! Our ‘UP’ series is inspired by our ‘We Will Elevate’ DNA. We practice showing kindness to those around us and never leave anyone out. We value others the way God values us by being a good friend and listener, respecting our leaders and parents, and choosing to always see the good in others.
During this series, we want to truly grasp what it means to honor and elevate those around us, not just those who seem to be popular or the most important in our lives, but to remember that God wants us to ‘take delight in honoring each other’ that means everyone!
Follow along as we truly grasp what it means to honor and elevate those around us!

Just like the way the friends carried the man who could not walk to Jesus, we can see the good in others when we continue to pray for our friends.
ASK:
Are there any friends you would like to pray for today who don’t yet know Jesus?
When we pray for our friends, God often speaks to us about them and helps us to see the good in them.
Today, we encourage you to spend time praying for your friends. Afterwards, you can create a word map. Write your friends' names on the paper and all of the things you can see in them that are really good. Maybe they are a great artist, or they always have the best jokes, or they are always kind to others. Write down all of the things God has created in them that makes them so special and unique!
What are you believing for in your friends? In the story today, the group of friends were believing for healing over their friend! It’s good to tell God what we are believing for our friends as we pray for them!
You can use your word map to remember them as you pray for them again another day!
REMEMBER:
Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honouring each other. (Romans 12:10)
SAY:
Jesus, you show us how to be kind,
No greater love will we find.
Your deep love gives us great value,
Growing us as we learn more about you.
Our friend, our savior, our kind teacher,
Helping us see the good in each other.
Amen.
