Through the Bible: Job

DAY 4 OF 10

Job’s Conversation with Eliphaz and Zophar

Though he slay me, I will hope in him; yet I will argue my ways to his face.

‭‭Job 13:15‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

Following chapter 12, Job replied to his friends’ questions to him. Being questioned whether he sinned against God, even though Job was irritated, offended at the most despaired time, he replied to his friends with agony. Though he was despaired over his situation and had no way out, he still knew how God judged. His confidence in God is not swayed even in this difficult time, even when his situation told him otherwise. He shared his disappointment and agony as a normal human but manifested an ‘abnormal’ faith in God, an unshakeable faith. We may not have answers to all of our situations, but we know God is our final answer, and sticking around Him will take us through.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, while in despair, in question, we pray we would never forget Your faithfulness, to be steadfast in You so You may take us through the challenges and be like Job, blessed because of our faithfulness Lord. We pray all these in Jesus' Mighty Name, Amen.
