Rooted In Christ: The Bible 

God’s Word is truly a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path just as Psalm 119:105 reminds you. His Word is the most vital tool you have to grow in faith and without God’s Word you cannot become firmly rooted and established in in Christ.

If you’re a follower of Christ and you never regularly devote yourself to spending time in God’s Word, you are truly stunting your growth. No matter what, you and every follower of Christ need to make sure that you’re not allowing reading, studying, and abiding in His Word to become optional.  

As you approach God’s Word, it’s vital that you start creating a positive habit of setting regular daily time aside devoted to dwelling in God’s Word. Even starting with 15 minutes a day and then building from there will be very beneficial. Start your time with prayer and give equal time to reading, studying, and reflecting on what you’ve read. Begin somewhere and form a lifelong habit of devoting yourself to reading, studying, memorizing, and meditating on God’s amazing Word. 

No matter how much time you devote, make sure you make your time count and don't forget to pray that God through His Holy Spirit will help you learn what you're supposed to be learning. 

Be encouraged that His Word is God Breathed (See 2 Timothy 3:16-17) and just as He gave and breathed life into you, His Word also breathes life into your physical and spiritual life which helps your roots grow which is vital to being rooted and establishes in Him. 

Truly no one has any excuse to not do everything they can to make God's Word a priority. You will never regret spending time in God's Word as you seek to study and abide day-by-day because you have everything to gain and absolutely nothing to lose!

I pray that you abide in His Word as much as possible and allow Him to transform you in the process so you can become firmly rooted, built up, and established in your faith in Christ!
