Celebrating Your BaptismSample

Celebrating Your Baptism

DAY 1 OF 30

Your baptism marks a significant milestone in your spiritual journey. You have publicly declared your faith in Jesus Christ through baptism. This act of obedience signifies a profound commitment to walk with Jesus Christ, our Savior, and embark on a journey of transformation and spiritual growth. As you emerge from the water, we pray your journey with Christ will grow with a renewed purpose and passion.

Baptism is not merely an action - it symbolizes a spiritual rebirth, a washing away of the old self, and embracing a new life in Christ. Just as Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, He calls us to follow His example, to die to self and live for Him. Your baptism is a beautiful part of your testimony to others about why you have decided to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

The process of being saved is called justification. This means that your sins have been wiped away. Now comes the process of being more like Jesus, called sanctification. Imagine your life as a filthy table. Sin has marred it and beaten it up. Jesus came through and wiped the table clean. That’s justification. Then Jesus will go through and sand down your table, refinish it, and restore it. That is sanctification.

Over the next thirty days, we will learn more about Jesus from John, one of His closest followers and friends. We will read through the Gospel of John and his letters to the church known as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd John. Through these passages, we will understand more about the God we serve and His immense love for us.

We encourage you to invite others to participate in this Bible study. It allows you to share your thoughts, feelings, and questions. It will also hold you accountable as you study God’s Word together. Invite some others, and let’s get started!
