Daily Prayers for My Children

DAY 5 OF 5

“And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your old men will dream dreams,
your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days" (Joel 2:28-29, NIV).

Dear Lord,

I thank You for the promises that are in Your Word. I ask that You would pour out Your Spirit on me, my family and my child(ren). Fill us up, Lord! Fill us until we want no more! Lord, I pray that my child(ren) will begin to prophesy, speak life and give voice to what You are saying. Turn their negative thoughts into positive ones. Surround them with friends that bring life and not death. Block the plan of the enemy to destroy their minds and their faith. Give them visions. Grant them insight. Teach them the secret things of the Kingdom. Give us all a fresh view of You, Your ways and Your plans for our lives. Use my child(ren) to do mighty works in Your Kingdom! I believe that You can and I trust that You will!

In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Challenge: Now pause. Take a couple of deep breaths. As you breathe in, receive peace from the Holy Spirit. As you blow out, release all negativity, toxicity, doubt, worry and fear. Receive His promises. Receive His Love. Receive His Spirit. And say, "Lord I receive Your Holy Spirit to empower me to do what you have called me to do." Now, go and allow His Spirit to lead and guide you as you lead and guide your child(ren).
