Whenever I read the Bible, these verses bring me goosebumps as I try to deal with the gravity of what Jesus is teaching us.

He begins by showing us that there are some people who think they're getting in heaven but the harsh reality is they will be on the outside looking in when their time comes. Thankfully, Jesus explains how we are to take action and it starts with a simple command – do the will of my Father – defining that in the simplest form it appears that His will is for us to surrender to Him and be obedient to the Holy Spirit. When we do that it changes everything and we can walk with Him and that produces fruit – like a whole circle of life moments.

As we come to the final part of our dive into this topic we get to see that ultimately it is not about works if we are trying to do it without Jesus. Works are not inherently bad. They just don't do anything for us when we omit the Holy Spirit. He is showing us that if you refuse salvation there will be eternal separation from God. So the ultimate question is how do you ensure this doesn't happen to you?Surrender to the Lordship of Jesus as your Savior, repent, be baptized, and then do whatever He tells you to do. The road is narrow, it will not be easy, but I hope at the end of the day you hear the words, "Well done my good and faithful servant."

To come full circle from where we started, will all people go to Heaven, the harsh reality is no. But the Good News of the Gospel has been given for all of those to receive and believe. Refer back to these verses whenever you are in doubt and remember that you are a beloved son and daughter of the King. Do all you can today to point others to Him to ensure they will enter Glory!
