How Resilient Are You?

If you are experiencing a broken dream or your hope has been dashed by an unforeseen circumstance, please know that you are not alone. Remember, broken dreams do not have to halt your destiny. Your future remains intact in God's hands, and you can still actualize your dreams if you brace yourself up and dare to dream again despite the odds.

Let's examine the story of Joseph as an example.

Joseph faced numerous challenges in life, stemming from the animosity towards him by his brothers, fueled by his father's undiluted affection. However, he possessed an unquenchable and adamant spirit, which made him dare to dream again despite his family's reaction to his first dream.

And he dreamed yet another dream... Genesis 37:9 (KJV)

Furthermore, he was able to sustain a firm mental picture of his dream until the very end. This resilience helped Joseph to fully realize his dream, despite all the obstacles he faced.

Although Joseph recognized his brothers, they didn’t recognize him. And he remembered the dreams he’d had about them many years before... Genesis 42:8-9 (NLT)

This shows that the outcome of a man’s life is not determined solely by his circumstances, but by how he responds to them, how much he trusts in God's ability and faithfulness, and how firmly he holds on to His promise to preserve his desired future.

Do you want to see God bring you to your desired end, despite the cruel realities of your shattered hopes and dreams? Then, how resilient are you regarding your dream? Will you hold on to your dream despite the darkness around you? Will you accept defeat and take life's temporary "no" for an answer, or will you be adamant enough to dream again?

Broken dreams don't have to halt your destiny. With resilience and trust in God, you can still achieve your dreams despite the obstacles you now see. Dare to dream again! insist on your destiny, and have absolute trust that God can work it all out for you, regardless of what comes your way.

Lord, I thank You for reminding me that broken dreams do not have to be show-stoppers for me and dashed hopes do not have to halt my destiny. Help me to be resilient, to keep dreaming, and to insist on Your good intentions for me regardless of what comes my way. In Jesus' name. Amen.
