God's Masterpiece

Throughout this plan, we have discussed what true beauty is, body image and positivity and our true identity in Christ. But today is all about thanking Him for making us into the person He has called us to be. The word of God tells us that we are God's masterpiece created in Christ Jesus to do good works that he prepared in advance for us to do. Now what does it mean to be God’s masterpiece? Simply meaning we are a work of excellent skill created by a skillful master.

Imagine a beautiful painting created by an artist on display at a museum. God, who is our Creator and the Artist behind the masterpiece, wants us to be on display for His glory and I want to share a couple of reasons why we are to be God's masterpiece.

We are God's masterpiece to give Him glory. We must use our lives to give him all the honor, praise and worship that He alone deserves. We must extol his name, his character, grace and power. In 1 Corinthians 10:31, the Bible says "So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God." Amen

Like Ephesians 2:10 states, we are God's masterpiece for good works. We all have been created to fulfill our divine purposes here on this earth, good works that please God and bring Him delight. Good works that are a result of our salvation.

God is a relational God and He wants to have a personal relationship with us and for us to know Him for who He really is. John 17:3 says, "This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent." Having a relationship with Christ is the most important relationship a person can have and a relationship with him brings new life, forgiveness, love, and the Holy Spirit.

Some ways we can maintain a personal relationship with God is through prayer, reading the Bible, and joining a Bible-believing church which will also help us to develop spiritual maturity. We are God's masterpiece to have a personal and intimate relationship with Him.

As masterpieces of God, our lives should point in the direction of Christ. Just as a painting is tied back to the artist. When people see us they see the reflection of Christ, his character, actions, and His love within us to inspire others to know God.

I want you to take some time to reflect and thank God that you are a masterpiece in his eyes because of the grace that was extended to us.
