They didn’t just believe that God would send a Messiah, they expected it. This wasn’t just a hope that someday things would be different for them, but instead, the Israelites knew that their time would come. They had faith that God would fulfill the promises that were written and passed down from generation to generation. They believed and had faith in promises that they couldn’t quite see yet. And those promises didn’t just end with Jesus coming to earth as the Messiah. Jesus Christ also promised that, through Him, we could have eternal life with our heavenly Father. That we would never be alone in this world again. What are some promises from God that you need to have faith in today?
