How to Learn & Grow Together: Encouragement for the Weary Homeschool Mother

DAY 2 OF 9

Let’s Keep Moving

You are doing a great job. I think that’s what you need to hear first, but I know you get tired and weary because I’ve felt it too. You’re on the frontline, nurturing, educating, and raising men and women for the glory of God - but it’s not an easy job.

When Paul was writing to the church in Galatia, he implored them not to grow weary because he knew this was a real and valid feeling. Those who work for good get weary.

We can easily be discouraged and disheartened by lamenting the lack of progress in our educational endeavours, getting caught in the trap of comparison, feeling overwhelmed by housework, or just being tired from mothering through the nighttime hours. Still, that’s not the end of the story.

Just as the writer reflects in Psalm 23, "even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil,” that’s exactly what we’re going to do today. We will keep moving forward and are not afraid of the future. Remember, if we do not give up, the promise is that we will reap a harvest.

Encouragement

So, take a deep breath. God is leading you through and needs you to look into His loving eyes and remember His promises. He’s cheering you on with shouts of “Yes” and “Amen!”
