I Am Transformed

DAY 6 OF 7

God Is All-Knowing, So I Am Provided For

God the Father is personally involved with us, and He sees everything and knows everything about our situation. He knows where we came from, where we are, and where we are going. He is aware of what we need before we do, and He already has a plan to supply it. Because God knows everything, we can trust Him to care for us. Listen to Jesus’s words to His disciples in Matthew 6:33, “Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

Jesus couldn’t have made it clearer: God cares about us, He knows what we need, and He is taking care of us. Worry and anxiety, therefore, are not helpful. Living in fear is unnecessary.

God’s care for us usually includes our participation. We know that. We’ve been given resources to manage, talents to use, opportunities to explore, and the strength and creativity we need to problem-solve.

It’s also important to remember that God’s care for us doesn’t always manifest the way we think it should, at least not in the moment. Life shouldn’t be this difficult, we sometimes think. Either I’m doing something wrong or God’s not paying attention.

In those moments, we are asked to trust Him. All we can see is what we’re experiencing now, but God sees the next chapter—and every chapter—of our entire story. He knows how He’s going to take care of us today, and He also knows how best to lead us into the future. Even when the path doesn’t make sense, God is with us. As David famously wrote, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Ps. 23:4).

God knows what you need. The waiting season doesn’t mean He is ignoring you or indifferent toward you. It doesn’t mean you messed up somewhere and ruined it all. Trust the God who knows your needs better than anyone, including you. Stay faithful, stay full of faith, and keep walking. The valley will end, the darkness will fade into memory, and your needs will be met.

Are there any areas where you urgently need God’s provision? How could you describe the truth that God knows about and cares for your needs?
