DAY 3 OF 10

Man on a Mission

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. -Galatians 2:20

Throughout some sixty-five years of ministry, Luis Palau shared the gospel with more than a billion people. At nineteen, Palau was preaching on the streets of his native Argentina and hosting a Christian radio show to tell people the good news about Jesus.

However, he admitted that he struggled to live a victorious Christian life in his early years.

In his twenties, Palau met his wife, Patricia, after moving to the United States and studying at what is now Multnomah University in Oregon. Luis fully embraced the truth of Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.”

He rejoiced knowing that since Christ lived inside him, he didn’t have to muster up the strength to do great things for God. He could rely on God to work through him.

God has worked through Luis Palau, his family, and the association that bears his name through more than five hundred evangelistic events in more than eighty countries. He authored books and met with world leaders.

Though Luis went to meet Jesus at the age of eighty-six, his family and association continue to impact the world.

Palau’s life reveals what happens when we yield ourselves to the Lord.

How has Jesus transformed your life? Who can you share the good news of Jesus with today?

God, please use the life of Luis Palau and other Christians’ lives to inspire me to trust in Your power and to reach my family, community, and Your world with the good news. Amen.
