My New Identity in Christ

Yesterday we looked at how when God becomes my Father, the supernatural becomes my normal, and I have great favor with God which gives me access to all Spiritual blessings.

Significance.

He chose me; therefore, I am significant, and we can say this not in an arrogant self-obsessed way. I am significant to God’s plans and purposes being fulfilled on this planet. He has chosen us in order that the earth is filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord even as the waters cover the sea. How may you ask? You and I as we are being changed from one degree of glory to another. Glory—we are meant to share in His glory and bear His glory. So the more we reflect His glory in our lives, the more earth gets filled with His glory! Imagine that!!!

But do we walk and live as though we bear the glory of God? If we realized this, we would not indulge in some of the things we do.

Royal calling.

Your identity as a son and daughter is covered in royalty. You are a prince/princess.

One thing the devil really trembles at is when Sons of God come into their full identity, operate in that anointing and power. He fights hard to rob you of thinking in a Christ-like way because he knows that your thoughts determine your actions. Beliefs dictate behavior. And when you think like a child of God, you are unstoppable!

He wants to keep you from fulfilling your purpose and destiny in life. He does not mind you being successful in things that do not have eternal consequences or that are not in God’s purpose for your life.

Jesus wants to set us free from shackled thinking and a wrong identity.

A good King and royalty live for the benefit of their subjects. Our King Jesus laid down His life for us so that we could enjoy unlimited favor. We are co-heirs with him. We are royalty who need to live with the same mind—like that of Jesus.

We are blessed to be a blessing. We have favor with God to use it to bring blessings to others. We have a mandate to populate the kingdom of Heaven by plundering the kingdom of hell.

REFLECT

Do I realize how significant my identity and calling are in God?

How will I think and act differently to live in the good of this truth?
