The trouble is, school isn’t always a happy place. Some students treat others badly and make their life unhappy. Bullying is always wrong. No one should make another person feel bad about who they are.
Some reasons why kids bully might be:
- They get bullied themselves, so they take it out on others.
- They don’t understand what other kids are like.
- They want others to think they’re tough or cool.
How you deal with a bully can make a real difference. Here are some ideas.
- Tell the bully to stop, and tell a teacher or your parents what’s going on – it’s their job to keep you safe.
- Stay clear, as much as you can. See Proverbs 21.1-2.
- Treat them well and defeat their nastiness with goodness. Read Romans 12.21 and talk and pray with someone you trust.
How can you do what God wants at home, at school, in the world?
