Rebuilding Your Reputation

DAY 3 OF 4

Rebuilding Your Reputation: Part III

In this series, we are discussing how to rebuild your reputation. The Apostle Paul modeled three steps he took to rebuild his reputation from being Saul, the persecutor of Christians, to becoming the Apostle Paul, the Christian evangelist.

Paul’s second step was to enhance his reputation by doing the hard work of building trust. It’s slow, but we need to live a changed life, day-in and day-out. When we make promises, then follow through on them, it rebuilds trust and begins to bolster your reputation.

In Acts 9:28, we read, "So Saul stayed with [the disciples] and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord."

If you desire to restore your reputation, do the hard work of building trust day-in and day-out.

Questions for Reflection:

  • Why is rebuilding trust so important?

  • What makes rebuilding trust hard?

  • Do you think it’s possible to do the hard work of rebuilding trust yet not have a changed life? Explain.
