Fasting Day 4: Praying Over Your Family

One of the biggest places we sow seeds without realizing it is in our families. The time you spend with your child; the time you invest in your marriage; the acts of love and service you pour out daily for your family are all seeds.

And beloved, according to God's Word, which says that everything reproduces after its own kind, you are entitled to receive a harvest on your investment into your family.

Pray along these lines for your family today: 

• Ask the Lord to give you His heart for your family. 


• Ask Him to help you sow good seeds into your family, today and every day. 


• Pray that you would have motivation to speak the Word over your family every day, for God's Word always brings forth harvest. 


• Ask Him to help you build and facilitate the godly relationships within your family unit that He desires for you and your family to have. 


• Pray that He would pour out His Spirit of Elijah on your family, turning the hearts of the parents to the children, and the hearts of the children to the parents (Malachi 4:5-6). 


• Ask Him to give you a good harvest on every investment of time, encouragement, acts of service, gifts, and physical touch you have ever sown into your family members. 


• Pray that He would help you and all your family members to get and keep your priorities straight, managing your time and activities wisely so you will have room for godly relationships and rewards. 


• Ask Him to touch any family members who have not given their hearts to Jesus. Pray for the harvest that Jesus purchased with His blood—the salvation of your family members' souls—to come forth for Christ's sake. 


• Ask that He would help all your family members to live godly lives, bringing you the harvest of righteousness for which you have sown your prayers.

Friend, no matter what is going on within your family, do not despair! 

Have hope; Christ in you is the Hope of glory! God's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, and His ear is not dull, that it cannot hear. Our Father God hears your cries and petitions for your family, and He will answer your prayer of faith!
