Never Give Up

Once you get the faith to start walking out God’s crazy word, it may take a minute to get there. And let’s be honest: waiting sucks. But waiting doesn’t mean sitting around scrolling Twitter or bingeing HBO. Waiting means service. Get used to saying, “How can I help? Do you need anything else?”

Don’t waste your wait. The waiting is where God makes you into who you need to be when He gets you there. For your marriage to be healed, you may have to go to counseling. For you to be an effective CEO of that future company, you may have to take some classes and get a mentor. For you to minister with integrity and power to millions, you will have to develop character and wisdom in private with Him. For you to win back your wounded child’s trust, you will have to prove your trustworthiness with patience, endurance, and grace. 

Paul says in his letter to the Galatians, “Let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” (Galatians 6:9). 

Those last five words are the key to the whole thing: if we don’t give up. That’s a big if, but I promise the payoff, which will come “at just the right time,” will be worth the crazy wait.

The right time is coming. I believe it for you. I believe it for your family. I believe it for your business. I believe it for your spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and financial health. 

Remember that God isn’t interested in blessing you once; He’s intent on opening His floodgates to pour down continually, confirming again and again for people ready to abandon hope that He is real. 

When they all say it’s impossible, when the calculations are improbable, when the mountain seems too high, when everything looks just plain crazy . . . you look them straight in the eye, with your head up and shoulders back, and declare this: 

“It’s only crazy until it happens.”
