God has a great purpose for you as you follow Jesus

Following Jesus is a great adventure, and God has a great purpose for you to do as you follow Him.

The Bible says that God has prepared good works for you to do. “We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10

You have a God-given purpose. You are called to serve God and to serve and bless others. You will make a huge difference in the world. 

Here are a few ideas of how you can step into God’s purpose for your life:

• Find a place to serve at your church. 


• Share encouragement with others online. Be an encourager, the world has enough critics already.


• Find a place to serve people in your community. You will experience the fulfillment of making a difference in people’s lives.


• Share the fulfillment you’ve found in following Jesus with someone else who needs it. God will use you to change someone’s life.


• Find ways to use the strengths and areas of passion you have been given by God to serve and make a difference in your community and the world.


• Look at the dreams that keep you up at night, and the ideas that make you excited. What kind of vision or mission do you think God is putting on your heart?

Mother Teresa, who spent her life serving those who were dying in the slums of India, once said: “Do you think love has to be extraordinary? How does a lamp burn? Through the continuous input of small drops of oil. These are the small things of daily life: faithfulness, punctuality, small words of kindness, a thought for others. These are the true drops of love. Be faithful in small things, because it is in them that your strength lies.”

God wants to lead and direct your life into His purpose, as you follow Jesus.
