DAY 3 OF 5

Stretch Forth Thy Hand

“And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.” Luke‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Give God what is withered. As the spectators watched Jesus, in Luke 6:10, Jesus spoke to the man with the withered hand and commanded Him to “Stretch forth thy hand.” This man’s hand was withered. His hand was inoperative. In fact, this man was embarrassed by the condition of his hand — he tried to keep it hidden. What are you embarrassed about? What are you trying to keep hidden?

Jesus Christ commanded this man to expose what was withered. Jesus could have easily spoke to his hand and commanded it to be made whole — instead God did something different. Jesus told this man to “Stretch forth thy hand.” In other words, expose what you’re hiding and surrender it to God. When Jesus is in the room — He restores. Maybe your business is withered. Maybe your family is withering. Maybe it’s your marriage. Maybe your faith is withering. Whatever that withered “thing” is — give it to God. Stretch forth your hand and let God make you whole.

God revives the withered. God reverses. God restores. Restoration is in His Hands. Reversal is under His Authority. Surrender to Him and don’t worry about the spectators. Don’t worry about the ones who are staring at your withered hand — focus on the One who can make you whole.
