Best Practices For Female Leaders

DAY 1 OF 5

 Get Clear on Your Calling

I know what it feels like to wander and I know what it feels like to be on mission. Being on mission is much better, and so I want to help people get to that clarity faster. But discerning your calling is also a journey God unfolds as you walk with Him and navigate life’s twists and turns.

At the end of the day, the goal isn’t to do like Jesus, but to be like Him—to be with Jesus in order to do with Jesus. Out of being flows doing.

So, to get clear on your calling, it’s essential to feast on God’s Word. Soak it in. Pray it over your life, ministry, and the people you love. Memorize Scriptures that equip you for battle. Build your worship, love for, and connection to God. And use that foundation to inquire with Him about what you need to be doing.

Another essential piece of the puzzle is embracing the idea of being a misfit. We’re not going to have the same gifts as everyone else. However, when we learn to stand strong in how God made us, stewarding those gifts, we’ll discover a new kind of freedom. Knowing yourself, what you are gifted to do, and how you go about using those gifts to serve others is foundational to understanding your calling.

Learn how to say “yes” to new opportunities, and don’t hold back! God has amazing things in store for you. Stick close to Him, and you’ll walk with Him more every day.
