You are not meant to do life alone. You are designed for community. Your friends are key for the journey of life, but more important than great friends, is the Holy Spirit. He is key for your journey of faith. The Holy Spirit inspired the writings of the Bible, revives your repentant heart, sanctifies you, fills you with His presence and helps you understand the Bible. In addition to that, He empowers you to do what God needs you to do.

In the Bible, Jesus told His disciples that before they would be able to reach the world, they must first receive the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit, you have no authority when living on mission. Revival will stir Godly desires in you and give you unusual boldness, but without the Holy Spirit, your bold bravado will have no power. Revival points you to the person and the power of the Holy Spirit. Revival reminds you that you cannot do your faith journey alone, and that you must be led by the Holy Spirit daily.
