Day 9 - BORN TO WIN

1 Timothy 4:14-15  (AMP)

Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, [that special endowment] which was intentionally bestowed on you [by the Holy Spirit] through prophetic utterance when the elders laid their hands on you [at your ordination]. Practice and work hard on these things; be absorbed in them [completely occupied in your ministry], so that your progress will be evident to all.

When you read this scripture, do you read it as a gentle reminder, a nice suggestion, or a strong direction? I want you to know, Paul is being very clear: do not neglect the gift that’s in your life! 

God is gracious and He gives gifts to each of us. He has placed the very thing you need within you. It’s up to you to activate that gift, especially in the midst of difficulty and challenge.

Challenge is inevitable. Difficulty will come. And being in a valley can be a discouraging place, but take confidence in knowing there are gifts within you that you can use to start walking out of the valley and towards victory. 

Remember, you are part of the victory in this good fight! God has a part for you to play, you are an important part of the plan, you are a contributor, you were born to win.

If you have the gift of encouragement – then start putting courage on the inside of others. If you have the gift of strategy – start putting a strategy together to overcome. If you have the gift of craftmanship – then get creative and design something that declares God’s goodness. If you have the gift of prophecy – speak life to those dry bones!

Perhaps you are wondering what gifts God has given you. Here’s an encouragement: pick up the phone and call a friend or a church leader and ask them what they see in you.

If there is anything you take away from today it is this:

You are an object of divine purpose and you have been given gifts by God that can make a miracle happen, that can tear down walls, that bring about a breakthrough.

Do you know what your spiritual gifts are?

Are you using them to bring glory to God and to bless others?

Pray that God would reveal more of these gifts to you and opportunities to use them.
