Great ExpectationsSample

What is it that you really want out of this year? What are some great expectations that you are having for the upcoming year? Whatever you are expecting, you must speak it into existence! You have to go for it! You have to declare it!

I declare that this year my family, my friends, and myself will have a tremendous, successful year! This upcoming year is going to be bigger than every year before it because I have made the decision to view it as such! I have great expectations. Expectations for growth. Expectations for renewal. Expectations for happiness. Expectations for life!

To have great expectations is not to pretend to be ignorant of obstacles or issues that you will face. It isn’t an absence of problems. It is the willingness to view the bigger picture in SPITE of your obstacles. In SPITE of your issues. Moses had issues. He stuttered. He lacked confidence. When God was before him, telling him of the plans that He had for Moses, Moses STILL felt inadequate.

And yet, with all of these problems, with all of his setbacks, he went on to lead the Israelites to freedom.

Moses may not have believed in himself. He may not have had great expectations originally, but when God called on him, Moses gained some great expectations!

He had great expectations for the plans that God had called on him to do!

Against all of his senses, Moses continued to have faith.

Imagine having the fortitude that Moses had.

Despite whatever it was that the past has brought to you, despite your current circumstances, despite your problems, you choose to have great expectations for the future.

Today's Expectation: "We are more than conquerors in Christ. Overwhelming victory is ours. Fear cannot hold us back. Depression has no place in our lives. Lack cannot come near us. Our thoughts line up with Your Word. Our mouths confess Your greatness and Your love for us. The enemy cannot hold us back, defeat us or discourage us. Victory is ours in Christ."
