Descendants of David
1 # For ver. 1-4, see 2 Sam. 3:2-5 These are the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn, Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite; the second, #[2 Sam. 3:3]Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite, 2the third, Absalom, whose mother was Maacah, the daughter of Talmai, king of Geshur; the fourth, Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith; 3the fifth, Shephatiah, by Abital; the sixth, Ithream, by his wife Eglah; 4six were born to him in Hebron, #2 Sam. 2:11 where he reigned for seven years and six months. #2 Sam. 5:5And he reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem. 5#For ver. 5-8, see ch. 14:4-7; 2 Sam. 5:14-16 These were born to him in Jerusalem: #[ch. 14:4; 2 Sam. 5:14] Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and #2 Sam. 12:24 Solomon, four by #[2 Sam. 11:3]Bath-shua, the daughter of #[2 Sam. 11:3]Ammiel; 6then Ibhar, #[ch. 14:5; 2 Sam. 5:15]Elishama, Eliphelet, 7Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8Elishama, #[ch. 14:7]Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. 9All these were David’s sons, besides the sons of the concubines, #2 Sam. 13:1and Tamar was their sister.

And the sons of Shemaiah: #Ezra 8:2Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat, six. 23The sons of Neariah: Elioenai, Hizkiah, and Azrikam, three. 24The sons of Elioenai: Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani, seven.
